Shug here. I’ve done bollard work in Bayswater more than once, and these jobs show what removable bollards do best: keep vehicles out when you need to, and let them in when you don’t.
The job
BWS Bayswater drive-through. Bottle shops are a favourite target for ram raiders, and a drive-through is basically an open door for a car. A row of removable bollards across the entry blocks vehicles when they’re locked in, and they lift out when the drive-through needs to open.
A local factory after a ram raid next door. A small business owner with a factory in Bayswater got in touch after a neighbouring company was ram raided. The raiders stole stock and made a mess of the place. His roller door was the main way in, with a glass door and window beside it, and all three were exposed.
He’d been told bolt-down bollards would do the job. They won’t stand up to a ram raid, so I recommended in-ground removable bollards to protect the roller door, plus a permanent bollard in front of the door and window. He went ahead and ended up with a factory that’s properly protected against ram raiders.
