Shug here. This is one of our earlier jobs, at Ringwood North Primary School in Melbourne’s east, not far from my workshop in Mooroolbark. It’s a good example of how removable bollards work around a school.
The job
The bollards run in a line along the edge of the asphalt beside the school car park. That gives a clear barrier vehicles can’t drive through, and staff can still open it up by lifting a bollard out.
Common reasons schools choose removable bollards include keeping cars off paths, play areas and open ground, and controlling which vehicles can come onto the grounds, while still letting maintenance or emergency vehicles in when needed.
What we installed
A row of bright yellow Shug Enforcer removable bollards. Each one sits in a sleeve set into the ground and locks in with a key. Every removable bollard comes with its in-ground sleeve and key. To let a vehicle through, staff unlock a bollard, lift it out and drop it back in afterwards. These were Shug removable bollards, the same model I sell for driveways and car parks.
