This guy had major issues with people using his driveway to cut the corner and damaging his gate. An in-ground removable bollard needs a hole for its sleeve. When there are services running under the driveway, digging isn't worth the risk, so a bolt-down bollard that sits on top of the concrete is the safer choice. It still stops people cutting the corner across the driveway.
